Best taco shop in this area by far. Lived here for almost 3 years and had tried just about every spot from Linda vista to balboa before finding this place by accident. Fresh warm chips to eat, a great salsa bar, and a menu of classics and some decent twists on the classics. So far I've had the california burrito as well as the beef tacos. Next will be quesabirria.

The fries in the carne asada fries are very crispy and yummy. I enjoyed the chicken rolled tacos as well. The horchata and jamaica were both just okay.

Best Mexican food ever. I’ve been going here for almost 20 years and the same folks are still there! Favorite thing to get is Carne Asada Fries and a California Burrito with guacamole. Their new coconut horchata is delicious as well! Pro tip: you can order their Carne Asada fries with a side of tortilla. Best of both worlds.

Typical minimalist taco shop decor. Fair prices, no shrinkflation here. My bean and cheese burrito was a very good size and my mom enjoyed her rolled tacos. And awesome salsa bar, with chips, spicy carrots and jalapenos and very tasty salsas! The pico de gallo was pretty spicy, which I liked but which was too much for my mom. I sampled all the salsas, red, green and pico...the habanero IS HOT! Friendly staff. Will come again!

This place shouldn't be hidden in such an unassuming and small plaza. The food was fantastic. I don't consider decor very important in casual places like so nothing much to say there - it was clean and lively. Decent prices, *great* flavor. I don't usually pay much attention to beans and rice but this place does it right. The fish tacos were nice and crispy and the crema was addicting. Good specials, friendly and helpful staff. Worth checking out!

Ordered the 5 rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. While I waited I hit the salsa bar and grabbed some chips to get the party started. I like places that have chips and let you get your own salsa. I really liked the green salsa, very chunky with onions and cilantro and the chips were really good. The tacos were excellent and they had a good amount of guacamole and cheese on them. Super impressed by this place and I will be coming back.

Really solid carne asada (and any dish w/carne asada... Cali Burrito, fries etc) & rolled tacos. Horchata water wasn't the best though, could be improved.
